Privacy Policy
Tempo helps creators turn a video idea into an editable timeline blueprint. This policy explains what information Tempo collects, how it is used, and how you can request deletion.
Information We Collect
- Account information: when you create an account or sign in, Tempo may process your name, email address, user ID, authentication tokens, and provider information such as Google sign-in status.
- Prompt and template information: when you ask Tempo to generate a template, your prompt and the generated timeline structure are sent to our backend so the feature can work.
- Age eligibility: before account access, Tempo asks for your date of birth to determine whether the app is available to you. This check happens on your device. Tempo stores only the eligibility result and does not store or transmit your date of birth.
- Local media references: when you choose photos or videos, Tempo uses the system photo picker and stores local references needed to preview and export your video. Tempo does not upload your selected photos or videos to our servers for template generation.
- Exported videos: videos you export are saved on your device. They are not uploaded by Tempo unless you choose to share them using another app or service.
- Technical information: Tempo may process basic network, authentication, and error information needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To authenticate you and protect access to AI template generation.
- To generate editable video timeline templates from your prompts.
- To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
- To review in-app reports of potentially offensive or unsafe AI-generated templates and improve content safeguards.
- To provide support, debug issues, and improve app reliability.
Service Providers
Tempo uses service providers to operate the app. Supabase provides authentication, backend functions, and database services. OpenAI is used server-side to generate timeline template structure from your prompts. Google services may be used for Google sign-in and Google Play distribution.
Photos and Videos
Tempo is designed so your selected photos and videos stay on your device while you build, preview, and export. The AI template service receives your text prompt, not the user media you select from your device.
AI Content Reports
If you report an AI-generated template inside Tempo, we receive your selected reason together with the text prompt and generated template. Reports are accessible only to authorized Tempo operators and are kept only as long as needed to review and address the issue, subject to legal obligations. Tempo does not upload your photos or videos with a report.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Tempo, comply with law, prevent abuse, or complete actions you request.
Security
Tempo transmits data using HTTPS. Authentication and AI generation requests are routed through our backend so private API keys are not embedded in production mobile apps.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and template-related information only as long as needed to provide Tempo, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. You can request account deletion at app-tempo.com/delete-account.
Children
Tempo is currently available only to people age 18 and older. Users who enter a date of birth indicating that they are under 18 cannot continue into the app, create an account, or use its online features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Tempo.
